Summer Check list!

Summer Check list!

The sun is shining; no dark clouds to dampen your day; resort reservations are made. At last summer is here! Well guys and gals, are you prepared to beat the summer heat? Well maybe... Let’s see, here’s a list that might help you out in packing those summer essentials, and be ready to hit the beach!

P.S. To those of you who have seen this list in the past three (3) years, I’ve updated the list for our convenience J

[ ] Shampoo 2-3 pieces of sachets, depends on how many times you want to take a shower.

[ ] Conditioner 2-3 pieces of sachets, girls condition your hair before and after going to the water, especially when you have colored hair. The salt and chlorine in the water can greatly damage your hair. For the bald guys, no worries J peace brother!

[ ] Wide toothed comb

[ ] Hair bond / ribbon / headband

[ ] Small baby oil to remove stubborn sand/dirt and to protect hair and ears from salt and chlorine water

[ ] Hair polish / other “after swim” hair product

[ ] Facial wash

[ ] Soap, I suggest that you bring one that would lather even when used with salt water. I’m sharing this information from experience (remember the isla bonita este isla bonito experience) i.e. DOVE or any moisturizing soap high in titanium dioxide, which can also act as a minor sun block and will not dry out your skin after sun exposure.

[ ] Facial sun block (non-sticky / non-greasy)

[ ] Body sun block w/ anti-dikya SPF 15+++

[ ] Powder w/ SPF 15

[ ] Lip balm with SPF protection

[ ] Eye glasses / Polarized UV Shades

[ ] Cap / Hat / Bandana

[ ] Toner

[ ] Tooth paste

[ ] Toothbrush

[ ] Travel pack ear buds

[ ] Handy Alcohol

[ ] Summertime Perfume / Cologne

[ ] Small cotton roll

[ ] Tissue

[ ] Refreshing / cooling water spray / after sun treatment – Aloe is a good choice, won’t sting your skin and can soothe \an accidental sunburn; a cooling body lotion is also a good option.

[ ] Night Lotion

[ ] Napkin for accidental those days

[ ] Other Items for Personal Hygiene: shave, F/M wash, Deo and Anti - well you know who they are, so I don’t need to give further details about our dear old friends in our kikay kits.

[ ] Bath towel - the thinner the better, easy for air drying and carrying it in your luggage

[ ] Face towel

[ ] Extra dry towel

[ ] Clothes for lightweight traveling

[ ] Intimate Apparel

[ ] Hankies

[ ] Bible for our Christian brothers & sisters,

Rosary for our Catholics brothers & sisters,

Prayer book & cap for our brothers & sisters who are Jews,

Buddhist beads for our Buddhists brothers & sisters,

[ ] Personal medication

[ ] Vitamin case with Vitamins

[ ] Travel mints / candies

[ ] Travel Snacks

[ ] Bottled water for traveling, I suggest that you bring only a mineral bottle and refill it when needed. Mineral bottle – rinse and refill; light-weight; plus you won’t cry just in case you left it somewhere.

[ ] MP3 player / any Music device to keep you company during the travel time when you’re tired will all the chatter.

[ ] Pocket Money, bring extra cash in a different container, don’t place all of your money in one container.

[ ] Prepaid Cards

[ ] Mobile phone

[ ] Extra mobile phone battery

[ ] Mobile phone charger

[ ] Beach and bathroom slippers, flip-flops

[ ] Beach shoes

[ ] Sarong – can act as a dress, cover-up “tapis”, and beach blanket

[ ] Camera and Camera batteries to catch those “Kodax” moments

[ ] Swim gear

[ ] Scuba / Snorkeling gear, flippers, floating device

[ ] Plastics Bags for used clothes and for “pasalubongs”

[ ] Of course, you’d need a luggage bag to bring all the items mentioned above J this is just a suggestion list, you don’t have to bring all of the items mentioned above, just bring what do you think you would be needing.

Finally for the road driver – Resort Map! Road Map! Well you do want to get where you want to go, don’t you? J

Enjoy the trip! Aloha!
